There is so much. Mm.. Primarily, Cal recently moved away from the Luofu after quitting his job w/ Qingque. He’s the older sibling, so she was super frustrated leaving her there, especially considering he loves history.

He met Arlan at the Station inbetween visits while travelling. He ended up spending more and more time there, eventually nights, w/ Arlan. Helping him distract from work with stories and explanations regarding about Luofu history.

Herta asked Cal to start helping around with her collections, so he did. I think Arlan just appreciated not being overestimated by a stranger for once.

But, also, Cal is just used to talking to guests and asking for reassurance mid sentence, LOL
