For the 1990s, I never felt it directly, but for the 2000s I did. I never used dialup internet, the first time I used the internet on my first computer was through a CDMA modem.
From these things in the picture, the ones I ever personally used are BonziBuddy, Office Assistant (or commonly known as Clippy) and LimeWire. For me using Clippy was fine, BonziBuddy was somewhat annoying and LimeWire was like having an unsafe sex with internet.
