I disagree, I think. I still see a lot of debates, and I think they're getting more common by the hour! Perhaps the sort of space you're talking about is, too, but to speak as if debate is lost is really sad!!

true, i do still see debates sometimes. but maybe it's the spaces im in where what I'm talking about is more commonplace
