08𓈒⠀ to⠀ be⠀ friends - always damon hi. you can add me on dc ok? if you have it. or text me here
11𓈒⠀ about⠀ my⠀ spin - ouughh well. i'll talk about why they all hate shinra (Sephiroth, Genesis, And Angeal, who are centered around crisis core but also my favorites.)

Sephiroth is "Project S". the revelation of his origins as a jenova experiment and the subsequent manipulation and exploitation he endured as a SOLDIER basically made him go insane. after discovering the truth about his parentage and the experiments that created him, he felt betrayed and developed an intense animosity towards shinra. This basically spiraled into hatred for the entire world. So he decides to destroy it. His ambition to become a god and control the planet's Lifestream, the source of all life. He thought he could merge with the Lifestream by summoning a fucking meteor and then absorb the energy released as the planet healed and basically become the ruler.

Genesis stems from the revelation that he was created as part of their experiments, specifically "Project G," where jenovas cells were mapped onto him while still in utero. Genesis's main goal is to cure his degradation and restore his pride as a SOLDIER. The Jenova cells he was imbued with caused both his physical and mental degradation and believes the story of LOVELESS holds the key; so he seeks to reenact its events through himself, Angeal, and Sephiroth, ultimately hoping to achieve the "gift of the goddess". Genesis's obsession also reflects his search for meaning in his existence. He sees LOVELESS as a way to understand his place in the world and his relationship with Sephiroth and Angeal. He found comfort in it and sees it as a prophecy so he continues to reenact it and quote lines from it. Genesis falls into the lifestream after seemingly 'dying' when he jumps into a reactor after fighting Zack. He there meets the goddess of Minerva, which he saw as the goddess of LOVELESS, and. is presumably cured of his degradation.

Angeal betrayed Shinra primarily because he learned he was part of Project G which was Genesis' project as well since they share the same mother. Discovering this truth led him to despair over being a "monster" and losing his SOLDIER honor. He felt disgusted with himself, believing he was a destructive force that would bring suffering to others. This disillusionment and the desire to avoid the negative consequences of his existence drove him to leave Shinra and ultimately seek death, even requesting Zack to kill him. He was defeated by Zack and doesn't die directly by his hand, rather dying of his injures. While a version of Angeal continues to exist as a clone that helps Zack the original Angeal dies at the hands of Zack.
