because i’ve been around people in the community who claim to have ASPD or BPD, but do not display actual symptoms of it. same with people who claim to be systems.
both my father and my partner are diagnosed with ASPD, and i am diagnosed with BPD, along with a few members of my family,
but alter switches in systems don’t happen daily or multiple times a day + your alters shouldn’t jjst.. change every other day.
some people are very obviously attention seeking, which is okay when it doenst come to self mis-diagnosing disorders and then setting a poor reputation for people with said disorders.
my initial post was not made out of malice, it was an observation
ahh, understood... it was sort of a knee-jerk reaction, seeing how plenty of people say things like this and do so out of malice. thank you for the clarification. i'm not gonna ask for further details, since i only wanted to understand where you're coming from
i am a bit confused... what do you mean by your third paragraph? do you mean alters suddenly changing themselves, or do you mean switching in general? i don't see why a person can't switch between alters multiple times day, unless i'm misunderstanding
it’s also just very easy to tell when someone is pretending to be a system, as most people do not actually do much research on DID or OSDD + why is there a sudden rise of people under 16 all being systems ? every other person i’ve met in this community has been a system. which is pretty odd when DID is a disorder that’s.. pretty rare
