This might be a bit of a anger post, but I wish to rant about it.

People seem to only say "Mental health matters" until it's not their idea of it. I personally hate specifically people on tiktok who do this, because it truly shows how much they 'care' when a person that is mentally ill isn't romanticized or their idea of what's acceptably mentally ill, which is outrageous.

Mentally Ill people are mentally ill, personality disorders will affect their personality, disabilities will make them disabled, traumatized people will cope unhealthily. You don't get to pick and choose what you want to support just because it doesn't fit a stupid ideology you may have about what is acceptably mentally ill.

Everyone seems to romanticize BPD until pwbpd shows unromanticized symptoms, people think depression stops at the feelings of sadness, nobody wishes to educate their self on other mental disorders to further their support and education. It's performative. And it's stupid.

Mental health matters until it's not romanticized.
